"I've been a big fan of Jaco & his music since 1976, I saw Weather Report in 1980,
Manchester, United Kingdom. Time went by and I eagerly waited for the next album
or tour. Unfortunately this would be the first & last time I was ever to see Jaco.

I called in our local music store, I was after some bass strings and the young man,
17 or 18 years old started talking bass, how the local Metal Thrash scene wasn't
his thing, he asked me what style I played, "Punk Jazz" I remarked, with interest.
He looked blank but then said,"have you heard of a guy called Jaco Pastorius?".
It made me smile that to think that Jaco is and always will be with us, in
music and in spirit."
