July 13th, 2001: THE OFFICIAL JACO GEAR IS HERE!!
There is now merchandise available on the official Jaco website.
It is still somewhat limited, though what is there is a great beginning.
All suggestions are being considered.
I myself would love to see a hooded sweatjacket, a DVD, and a CD ROM with Jaco clips. :O)
March 2001:"PORTRAIT OF JACO: THE EARLY YEARS"
We are getting close!!!
The long awaited, but exhaustive, never heard before, body of work by Jaco
from the mid Sixties through the mid Seventies is about to be released
in a triple CD format. It will include many important interviews,
accompanied by a sixty-page booklet, loaded with PICS.
Bob Bobbing
has made an official statement about the project and its release at

Addendum: July 2003A double CD in attractive packaging with booklet of 80 pages
filled with never seen before photographs entrusted to the
project by Jaco's Mom, was released in July of 2003.
There are artistic differences regarding this product; not enough
complete tunes, and the interviews in between the shortened
tunes are distracting after hearing it more than once.
On the other hand, it is a must have for any Jaco-groupy,
for it shows the important process of his development, told
by many influential artists and friends as they remember
while you will hear musical recordings never heard before.

After the initial mesmerizing video clip,
the first page reads as a vivid Journey of his Life.
Mary, John, Julius, and Felix worked hard
at creating their long-awaited, and well-deserved website
where one can take a real fulfilling peek at their father's spirit.
Mary's husband, Eric Young, is the webmaster.
This is such a huge step for the kids.
Finally things are the way they are supposed to be,
for now they can honor their father effectively, and justly.
Jaco, at last your "crib" is here!!!

December 28, 2000:IRA SULLIVAN
We went to see and hear the amazing Ira Sullivan at One Night Stan's in Hollywood, Florida.
Upon hearing the first note, I again understood why Jaco adored his musical Touch.
No wonder there was mention of him in Tom Hanks' film: "That Thing You Do"!
